ETISALAT BRINGS SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB TO NIGERIA

                              
Samsung along with Etisalat has announced its latest Android 2.2 tablet for Nigeria.  Galaxy Tab will be available in all Etisalat experience centres with a one year free bundled data, SMS and voice call.

The Galaxy Tab comes bundled with Etisalat SIM card, which offers 25 minutes of free voce calls, 25 free SMS and 250 megabyte free data access every month for 12 months, with automatic credit on the first day of the month. Subscribers will have the opportunity to top up their accounts and still make voice calls or send SMS after exhausting the monthly free bundle services. All unused freebies must be exhausted within the month in question as there will be no room to carry them over to the next month.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a new smart media device that allows users to enjoy PC-like web browsing, email-on-the-go, voice and SMS functionality, social network updates on-the-go, video calls and other smart device functionalities with an optimised user interface. The new product is a 7 inch device with android operating system 2.2, which combines all the functionalities of a personal computer and a mobile phone convenient form factor.

    This is news to my ears. Very pleasant news. First of its kind in Nigeria. Hope this ushers in other devices like playbook, iPad and the rest to come in. The big question now is: How much?
