CNN LIST CROSS RIVER STATE AS RURAL DEVELOPMENT GIANT


Cross River State has been listed as one of the best performing states  in rural development in Nigeria by the Cable News Network (CNN)

Consequently, CNN is to give adequate and free publicity to Nigeria as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The top three performing states in Nigeria are to be covered throughout this year on CNN rural development programme tagged Eye on Nigeria at 50.

A release from the Office of the Cross River State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon Edet Okon Asim indicates that the programme is expected to commence in the state in the last week of
January 2010.

This acknowledgement, the Commissioner said is another positive score in the general view of Nigeria that the Imoke Government is the best in rural development in the Country.

While in the state, the team is expected to be lead by the head of the Cable News Network (CNN) in Nigeria, Mr. Christian Purefoy, to a guided visit of rural projects executed in the state under its rural
development such as roads, electrification, water and sanitation among others, where Cross River is rated best in terms of performance.
